CATGUN: VICTORY MISSION G FANSITE

Hosted by Toppy (Gyrominiac)!

ABOUT

CatGun: Victory Mission G (often referred to as simply CatGun) is a cancelled shoot-em'-up video game for MS-DOS created by the Dutch game developer duo PixelHazard (Arjen Wagenaar and Luc Verhulst), which was developed around 1995-1996 (possibly since 1994 too).

I created this page so I could catalog my findings on this game (along with hosting the game itself), and also because I wanna practice some HTML. Sorry about this page looking ugly as sin, I guess.

CREDITS

Programming: Arjen Wagenaar [PixelHazard]

Graphics: Luc S. Verhulst (Luke S. Verhulst) [PixelHazard]

Music: Hans "Han C" Ouwejan [Eque], Felix Faassen [Eque]

P.S. These credits were compiled based off a bunch of context clues I found throughout my research of this game. I don't think there were explicit credits for CatGun written anywhere.

DOWNLOADS

This game has 3 known different builds, 2 of which are publicly available on the internet.

These are my copies of both builds, modified to be able to easily run on an MS-DOS emulator (like DOSBox, for example.) Ordered from newest to oldest.

Both of these files are RAR archives, containing three files each: CATGUN.BIN, CATGUN.CUE and info.txt (which contains instructions on how to install and run CatGun, written by yours truly.)

Unfortunately, since a .bin file wasn't provided for the January 1996 build, I had to make do with the .bin file for the April 1996 build by replacing the files in there with the files from the January 1996 build. Hopefully this is good enough. -_-

Originally graciously uploaded to the Internet Archive by Hans Ouwejan himself. (links below)

PAGES

There used to be an official homepage for PixelHazard at www.xs4all.nl/~neko/, but the only capture for it on the Wayback Machine (December 1996) unfortunately couldn't catch the page when it was still open. -_-

SOME MORE WORDS

Yeah, that's it for now. I'll add one more section detailing my findings/theories (real juicy stuff!) to this page in a later update.

Greetz 2 all my friends, as always.

Silly face pixeled by me, based off the silly face on the demo disc cover. Page background and favicon ripped straight from the game.
